MISSION
To teach:
1. A model of medical care that is focused on keeping people
healthy, whole and well, rather than just on end stage disease
management;
2. A healing orientation that emphasizes not just the disease
and the treatment of the immediate medical problem, but
the total person, incorporating
body, mind, and spirit.
VISION
To become a quality educational institution that will:
1. Teach and train students and health care practitioners
in integrative and complementary medicine;
2. Promote research to increase knowledge about integrative
and complementary medicine practices and products;
3. Provide health care professionals reliable and useful
information about integrative and complementary medicine
that can be made readily accessible
and understandable to the general public; and
4. Help consumers make informed judgments about the appropriate
use of integrative and complementary medicine services and
products.
5. Assist accrediting and licensing bodies in the development
of policies and initiatives that will address the integration
of integrative and complementary
medicine into the medical care system so that medical care
will become more accessible and less
expensive for Filipinos.
